Navigation Facilities

Simple, rapid navigation through files is an outstanding feature of the SpeechStation2. It is easy to see the location of the data currently displayed and to move from one place to another, even in a long file, using the sliding navigation bar. The display is also easy to control: the length of the bar on the calibrated time scale shows the duration of the segment being displayed. When held by the mouse, the bar can be moved to any place on the scale, and data from the new file location is displayed immediately when the mouse button is released. By pressing the Shift key while holding the end of the blue bar with the mouse, either end of the blue bar can be shortened or extended to any length.
